History.
1996 saw the advent of a modern cinema showing in Russia: trade centers with multiplexes, Dolby Surround, IMAX screens, and, of course, modern concessions. We faced the current challenge and reconstructed the company in response to the needs of big movie distributors: launched the manufacture of popcorn cups, popcorn salt, glazes, and corn treat premixes.
In 2009, our engineering team developed Vortex Popcorn ™ technology, creating a Robopop on its base. It revolutionized the whole popcorn industry!
Popcorn kernels are evenly distributed over the parabolic bottom of the machine internal chamber. The hot air vortex inside the chamber creates a constant rotation of kernels around the chamber axis with its simultaneous mixing. This process ensures uniform and fast heating and popping. The vortex air stream inside the chamber immediately swirls out the popped corn away from the hot zone, without over-drying it. Have a look at how it works.
We spent a lot of effort in order to develop an ideal machine, meeting the requirements of customers. The existing latest version of the machine has been modified with the due account of the feedback from the customers. We thoroughly tested all the components and aggregates of the machine before it was exported and offered for its final use to our customers. Starting from the first Robopop, innovations have become part of our philosophy. Robolabs is keen on becoming a global international company on the concession market. In 2013 NBC called caramel popcorn “hot trend of the year” :

Yes, we manufacture our own accessories for popcorn – various caramel and savory mixes, cheese pastes, and corn treats. There are not many companies who produce the whole spectrum of supplies, and RoboLabs is one of them.
Previously, they required special knowledge and skills to cook gourmet popcorn. If the employee did the process incorrectly, the entire batch of products was sent to the garbage. Now the process has become fully automatic. Even now only Robolabs owns this technology. Our Robosugar machines are protected by patents in the Russian Federation, Europe, and the USA.
One of our newest trends is – and we are not kidding – cotton candy. It seems it is difficult to come up with something new on this well – established market: there exist quite a lot of other manufacturers of candy floss machines; at that, some of them have been working for more than a century. But Robolabs engineers have managed to bring in innovations into this conservative market as well. November 2016 saw the first RoboJetFloss models with a vertical floss flow.
The release of the first Robo JetFloss exploded the market and made Robolabs known on the mass market. The popcorn industry, evidently, is a market of professionals, requiring serious investment.
